As part of an Art History assignment during my post-secondary studies, I had to illustrate the song "Les Marquises" by Jacques Brel. My project is a combination of two forms of media : an animated music video and a series of physical illustrations.

For the animated music video, I created a series of animations that brought the lyrics to life. The visuals were designed to match the mood and tone of the song, which is a poignant and contemplative tribute to the Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia. The animations were set against simple backgrounds to allow the lyrics and visuals to be the focus of the video.

In addition to the animated music video, I also created a series of illustrations in the format of A4. The illustrations and animations were created using a mix of traditional and digital media, and I paid close attention to the details to ensure that they accurately represented the song's themes and emotions.
